Castes and Houses:

Castes

Castes are our occupation groups. We have three currently and they all have different jobs based on our community needs and their function inside the ASOIAF world. Pick a caste based on what you want to do to help the community.

  • Maesters - The Maesters are responsible for keeping the knowledge of the site. They are in charge of our library. Assigning and collecting projects, making sure projects get put up on the main site in a timely manner, and credit is given to whomever worked on it. Maesters start off as Novices, then Acolyte, then Maester. They answer to the Grand Maester.

  • The Sept - The septons/septas are responsible for keeping the spirit of the site. They are in charge of fun and merriment, and keeping the boards fun and active for all. They begin as Oblates, move onto Initiate, then Septon/Septa. They answer to the High Septa.

  • Lord/Lady - The lords and ladies are responsible for keeping the duty of the site. They are in charge of membership; keeping other members happy and getting along, and keeping up morale and in the day to day running of the site. They begin as Peasants, then Landowner, then Lord/Lady. They answer to the High Seat of their House.

  • Houses

Our houses our the family units of the site. They give our members a smaller arena in which they can socialize and get to know each other better. You can choose your house based on any requirement you chose. Pick one your friends are in. Pick one where you'd like to get to know people better. Pick one based on the families in the books (be advised that our families won't necessarily portray the same characteristics of the families in the books). Once you are a senior member and join a house, you cannot change so make sure you pick carefully.

Our houses are based on the great houses in the ASOIAF world. We have Arryn, Baratheon, Greyjoy, Lannister, Martell, Stark, Tully and Tyrell. You can only join one of these families upon an invitation from the High Seat of that house, but you may choose any bannerman or minor family name from the region they rule. If someone already is member of the house you wish to join, you must gain their approval before being allowed that name; for example, you wish to join the Riverlands under the rule of Shayla Tully, and would like the name Frey, you'd have to speak to Tarak Frey to gain his permission to join his family.
