Levels of Membership:

  • Unregistered

Those who come to the boards but don't register an account can stay unregistered and lurk in the following 10 forums:
Introductions, Announcements, General, Fun Stuff, Movies and Television, and the five book forums - New to Martin; Theories; Book Comments, Questions and General Discussion; A Feast for Crows; and Other Authors.
Unregistered users aren't allowed to post, reply or vote in any polls.

  • Commoners

Along with the previous forums, commoners can see Beyond the Wall, Real World Issues, and the Mad King's Cell.

    What is it?
Commoner is the default rank for anyone registered at the boards. A commoner is considered a guest and cannot participate in the community forums or compete in any tourneys.
    What is expected of you?
If you wish to remain at guest status, you may post in any forum that you see, making sure to follow the forum rules (if different from the rest of the site, the rules will be a sticky thread at the top of the forum). You may also participate in our chat room. In order to be considered for membership, you must have an avatar and have posted an introduction thread. Use the time here to post and get to know the other people in the community.
How to raise to the next level?
After a minimum of 7 days, you may fill out an application. You will receive a PM explaining the house you will be warded with from somebody in your house and a post will be made in the Announcement forum telling which house you'll be warding with.

  • Members

Along with all the previous forums, members will be able to see a community forum, Westeros, our Project planning forum, and their private House forum.

    What is it?
Members are anyone who has filled out the application and have been awarded a house to ward with.
    What is expected of you?
As a member, you are required to become aquainted with the new areas of the forums, and start thinking about which caste you aspire to. You will need to contact the Grand Maester and be assigned a project, which must be completed and returned before approaching your High Lord / Lady for raising to Junior Member.
How to raise to the next level?
After a minimum of 14 days, and a completed project, you may approach your High Lord or Lady and tell them you are ready to become a junior member. You tell them which caste you wish to join and they will see that you are brought up for raising before the council. Once approved, there will be a post made in the Annoucement forum congratulating you on your raising.

  • Junior Members

Along with all the previous forums, junior members will be able to see their private Caste forum.

    What is it?
Junior members are still Wards of one of the Great Houses, have completed one project, and have been accepted into a Caste.
    What is expected of you?
As a junior member you are required to help out with any tasks assigned to your caste. You will need to contact the Grand Maester once again and be assigned a more difficult project, which must be completed and returned before approaching your Caste Leader for raising to Senior Member.
How to raise to the next level?
After a minimum of 14 days and a completed project, you may approach your Head of House and tell them you are ready to become a senior member, and they will bring you before the council for raising. At this time you must decide which house you wish to join, and approach that High Lord or Lady and request a name. Once approved, you will be announced with full rank and title and name in our Announcement forum.

  • Senior Members

Along with all previous forums, senior members have access to our senior member only forum, King's Landing, and if they switched from their ward house, they will recieve a new private House forum, but lose their old one.

    What is it?
Senior members are no longer wards, but full members of their chosen house, and members, with the full rights and duties, of their Castes.
    What is expected of you?
You are a senior member now, a trusted member of the community. You are a role model for people of lower ranking than yourself and expected to act as such. You are expected to post and have fun, and to get to know newer members and help guide them on their path to senior member. You are required to help out and participate in your House forum and still do the duties of your chosen caste.
